The fourth-ranked Duke Blue Devils head to West Point on Tuesday ahead of Veterans Day for a non-conference matchup against Army. Coverage of the contest will air on CBS Network.
According to Duke Athletics, this game marks the earliest road trip in program history. Head coach Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils lead the all-time series 13–3.
In Saturday’s win over Western Carolina, Duke displayed flashes of discipline at the point, athleticism across the floor, and a strong interior presence. Freshman standout Cameron Boozer led the way with 25 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
His twin brother, Cayden Boozer, continued to impress at the point guard position, showcasing poise and floor vision with seven rebounds, with five assists while dictating tempo and giving Scheyer an extended look at the backcourt rotation.
The matchup also carries special significance, as Hall of Famer Mike Krzyzewski—a West Point graduate and former Army head coach—began his legendary career there before his decades-long run in Durham.
Head Coach Jon Scheyer highlighted the signifigance of honoring all veterans on Veterans Day shows tremendous gratitude for all the servicemen and women who dedicate their lives daily for our economic freedoms.
What to Watch For
Duke’s first true road test of the season should provide valuable insight into the team’s depth, especially following the announcement that Sebastian Wilkins will redshirt this year.
At point guard, Cayden Boozer and Caleb Foster appear to have a firm grasp on the rotation, with Cayden gaining confidence through his first two games. Dame Sarr has flashed speed in transition and two-way potential as a “3-and-D” contributor.
The key question remains consistency—and who will emerge as Duke’s secondary scoring option behind Cam Boozer. Can the Blue Devils assert dominance early and further define their team identity and basketball IQ on the road?
