The number 3 ranked Duke Blue Devils cruised to a dominant 78-57 win over newcomer California Bearcats on Wednesday night, being led by freshman Cooper Flagg, finishing with 27 points on a perfect 9-9 from the charity stripe. Defensive anchor Khaman Maluach tallied his fourth double-double on the year contributing 10 points, with 12 rebounds.

Despite Duke only yielding 57 points, the Blue Devils were not satisfied post game with their defensive performance. The sentiment around the team being reiterated from Jon Scheyer was more poise on defense.

Cooper Flagg mentioned the team being humbled after their 77-71 loss on the road at Clemson on Saturday which made it Duke's first road loss in conference play, ultimately ending their 16 game win streak. Jon Scheyer cited California having too many touches in the paint and getting into the lane at will, on where he stated it's his job to fix it and he'll do just that.

Next up for Duke is a home contest versus Stanford 4pm, Saturday.
