Kara Lawson: Trust The Process

Pressure burst pipes is often the saying when the moment is the highest of highs, and Kara Lawson has had an answer to combat those who have challenged her decisions which is simple: Just Win.

Being the head coach of Team USA entering the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup under an immense spotlight, questions surrounded lineup decisions, substitutions which were scrutinized greatly throughout the totality of the tournament.

Coach Lawson has been very transparent recently stating,

" What happens within our locker room is the only thing that matters"

Not only did she not appear interested in acknowledging the doubt, she answered with capturing Gold by defeating France 97-79. For Kara, this victory not only symbolized more than just another Gold, but a silencer to the criticism and expectations.

Rather than allowing the critiques to define the blueprint, Kara completed something she's done for her entire career which is trusting the process.

Players were forced to trust their playing roles, and choose the team over "me". That is what signifies and represents the Red, White, and Blue which is SACRIFICE.
