Lady Blue Devils Clinch Double Bye After Historic ACC Run

9th ranked Duke Blue Devils have been on a historic run to start conference play, starting the season 15-0 within conference after a dominant performance over in-state rival NC State Wolfpack Thursday night.


The Blue Devils were led by sophmore Toby Fournier who finished with 26 points, and 12 boards. Seniors Ashlon Jackson, and floor general Taina Mair help set the tone on both ends with the grit, leadership, and craftiness to generate momentum runs. The Wolfpack cut Duke's 20 point lead to as close as 8 points in the fourth quarter but late key adjustments helped the Blue Devils topple the Wolfpack 83-65.

Duke hasn't suffered a loss in season since December 4th against LSU, winning 17 straight contest, 22 overall straight in conference play. In victory the Blue Devils become the 11th team to start conference play 15-0.


In victory, senior point guard Taina Mair has continued moving up the charts in assist sitting in sole possession of 9th on the ACC career chart.

Duke hits the road Sunday for a road test at Clemson with coverage being televised on ESPN2.
