Building momentum from their victory over previously undefeated NC State, the Blue Devils put on arguably their most all around performance of the season in a 38-3 win at Syracuse Saturday.
Freshman running back Nate Sheppard with a breakout performance stated postgame, he was given the nod to start Friday and didn't disappoint. On 19 touches, the stud accounted for 201 yards with two touchdowns.

This included the Blue Devils offense not calling a single pass play in the 3rd quarter, chewing up 319 yards in a single quarter. During the Blue Devils first three games combined, Sheppard rushed for 127 yards.
QB Darian Mensah became the 1st quarterback in 30 seasons to throw mutiple touchdowns in 5 consecutive games. On the evening, Mensah finished the evening 22/28 , for 268 yards and two touchdowns.
"Saw a bunch of man on film, they played man against Clemson, that tells the story their confidence in their dudes, but I am too"
The Blue Devils after surrending 3 points in the first quarter didn't surrender a single point through it's entirety of the ball game. Manny Diaz stated the defense looked more like the Duke Defense with its pride, winning the turnover battle, and the offensive line winning the battle up front.
Next up for Duke will be a trip out west to California, next Saturday with kickoff starting 10:30pm EST.
