Lady Blue Devils Capture 3-Seed In ACC Tourney

The Lady Duke Blue Devils came out of tough stretch versus North Carolina, and Florida State unscathed going 2-0, confirming the #3 seed in Greensboro this week ahead of the annual women's ACC tournament in Greensboro.

Freshman Toby Fournier continued her ACC Rookie of the Year campaign finishing with 28 points, 11 of 15 from the field, including six rebounds and one steal. The Blue Devils on the year have knocked off four Top-25 ACC teams and will be a threat to advance against Louisville, who defeated the Blue Devils 2 weeks ago at Cameron; The Blue Devils only loss at home during conference play.

The ACC tournament for the women's bracket begins Wednesday but the top four seeds, Notre Dame, Duke, Louisville, and Florida State all solidified the double bye.

In order for the Blue Devils to advance they will need combo guard and senior Reigan Richardson to be more consistent on both ends of the floor. No doubt about it, she attributes off the ball and does the dirty work for the Blue Devils as we saw on Senior Night. The issue has been getting in foul trouble more often than none in recent games including at Florida State. If the Blue Devils can get that version of Reigan, Duke will make noise in Greensboro. Nevertheless, if not Duke could be a one and done in tournament town.
