After giving the NC State men's basketball program its first final four since 1983, the program has announced it has let go of men's basketball coach Kevin Keatts.
Kevin had been the coach since the 2017 season.
Attributing 3 NCAA tournament appearances, including five, 20 win seasons, the program decided after the abysmal 2024-25 campaign change was needed.
After a 5-15 conference play season which eliminated the team from appearing in the ACC conference tourney, that seemed to be the final nail in the coffin.
Coach Kevin Keatts posted a heartfelt post to his X account moments ago announcing the decision.
Nevertheless, the decision to fire Kevin after giving a program it's first final four appearance in 40 years will have saw backlash from some. Whoever decides to fill the void in Raleigh needs to have the alumni's support financially, and a backing from the fan base.
