At times it wasn't pretty but the North Carolina Tar Heels got a big road win vs a quality opponent in Kentucky. Despite shooting 41% from the floor and only 30% from 3, the Heels were able to grit a tough game out vs a Wildcats team looking for a signature win. Derek Dixon hit a clutch three to ultimately give the Tar Heels the lead. The Tar Heels were led by Henri Veesaar, who put in a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Despite his shooting struggles Caleb Wilson put in 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assist. Luka Bogavac also contributed 12 points. It can't be understated how big of a win this was for the Tar Heels without Seth Trimble. The Tar Heels were coming off a tough loss on Thanksgiving day to the Michigan State Spartans. Up next for the Tar Heels is a match up vs Georgetown on Sunday.
